Last night ...

  1. Last night there was nothing on tv. Bella and Samson were wrestling, Caleb was barking and me and Bev chatted whilst i waited for Waz to come home. Life is slow when he's at work.

  3. Last night... I found it hard to fall asleep. You know once you force yourself to stay awake and you pass that 'tired' stage, it's hard to get it back? Yeah- that was me. And it was too hot. So I went online. Obviously noone (worth talking to) was on. I lay in bed silently pleading to someone, anyone, to help me get to sleep! Following an hours worth of tossing and turning, and seven hundred sheep later, I must have dozed off...

  4. Last night was comprised entirely of excess. A weekday weekend. Mondays are generally reserved for regrets, sore heads, and very little optimism. Rarely are they used to engage, once again, in the situations that were the catalysts for such feelings. Last night was unnecessary.

  5. Last night I felt lucky to have escaped the evil grasp of a death metal concert. Evidently I didn't share my boyfriend's passion for loud, aggressive music and sweaty fans cladded in black. Instead I found myself sipping juice and watching television. Uni and work provided the perfect excuse...

  6. Last night I casually enjoyed the last few waking hours before uni returned. People tend to say that the holidays go too fast. Usually I agree, but this time I can honestly say I felt they had dragged. I must say that they had dragged in the most pleasant possible way, nevertheless a part of me was becoming bored with having no stressful evenings of last-minute essays, and no caffenaited commutes early in the morning.

  7. Last night my house was packed with family over. My brother coming to town has allowed me to see more of my family in the past two days than I have seen in the past two months. I guess I should savour the memories cause everyone seems to be going their own different paths.

  8. Last Night. Two words, from which springs a story. I dont think I have one.

Last night I came home from work, did a long workout, feel that satisfying ache that means I destroyed the muscles in question. I play some music altogether too loud for my neightbors to appreciate, and make some salad and kangaroo. Then I settle down with Scrubs. Oh JD, your crazy daydreams are so random.

Oh, and I found my timetable and discovered I'm a subject short next semester. Shit.

  9. Last night a plane crashed somewhere. I am sure it did, but I am not sure where. I am certain there is a calamity occurring as we speak. Some despicable criminal is secreting someone's valuables at this moment. I can hear the pipe that is surely bursting into some unsuspecting persons front room. The sirens are blaring outside the timid suburban home where police, by force, have entered to bust the unknowing drug dealers inside. Right now, an animal has just become extinct, I can smell the fresh on the species death certificate. But what of it? All of this, is happening, is taking place, is aways, always away from me.

  10. Last night I was stuck at work - in the empty office - empty save for the cleaner and his vacuum-cleaner noise. Alone with the Chaser boys on the Imac screen. The lightning show through the glass windows performed just for me. The lifts took forever to take me back down to the ground floor when my rostered time was up. I half-waved to the Security Guard and walked out through the glass doors onto the street. Then the rain began to fall...

  11. Last night I continued the Monday ritual of turning my brain into a rotting vegetable. Seven o’clock – The Biggest Loser, Seven thirty – So you think you can dance, click over to ten for Desperate Housewifes, whilst also recording Good News Week and Dexter. Then followed Brothers and Sisters and a deliberation over whether bed was better than Boston Legal. Bed won.

  12. Last night I was with some friends eating cheese and crackers, watching the replay of the Oscars, and looking up prices for cruises we all secretly knew were going to be a bit too expensive for us. It's almost impossible to make a group decision of where to go over Autumn break. Especially when most of the people in the room are girls and Zac Efron is on the TV. It's no wonder I had to drink a few beers to ignore all their Oscar related banter. Can I just book a vacation please?

  13. Last night a storm rolled in from the south and I watched it from the fourth storey window. The gunmetal clouds gradually smothered everything in sight, but the pounding roar of rain and the purple bolts of lightning soon distracted me from the ominous sky. The thunder was so loud, like God stamping angrily in a pair of menacing army boots.

  14. Last night I struggled with my homework for japanese - sumi what? Two alphabets? 104 letters each? Jo said I should make up a song for both, like ABC's but maybe five minutes longer. Then I'd release it as a podcast and become legend -wait for it!- ary! So then I printed my timetable to carry this morning, which, by the way, I ended up forgetting but luckily I have the memory of a God. Building three, level four room 33. Who's your daddy? I'm your daddy.
