this morning . last night

this morning i woke up & wondered what mode of transport to get to uni. Using the travel website I opted to catch the train rather than the bus which was either too early or too late. Walking to the station I listened to Motion City Soundtrack, as the train rode further to Redfern I had moved onto Jack's Mannequin and before I realised I had arrived at uni just in time.

last night headed to the city to meet up with new American friends and got into the Metro for the show with sneaky laminate swapping. Chaos ensued as we all decided a Monday night was great to drink. Heading onto George St we got declined from cheers before we had even made it across the road, probably due to the boys rambunctious rendition of the cheers theme song. Next stop was an underground pool hall then an arcade basketball shoot off, the search for an all night karaoke and then the Casino. My eyes feel heavy and tired but I have done a favour for the Australian tourism industry and economy.

This morning and last night

This morning I was waiting at the bus stop for over twenty minutes until my bus came. I was getting quite agitated as I didn't want to be late on my first day back at Uni and I had gotten up extra early so I was extra tired. When the bus finally came I had to stand up, which only added to my increasingly negative mood. I was thinking the whole time how much better it would be to have a car instead of relying on public transport!

Last night I had my sister staying with me in my already cramped flat, which was fine because I have a queen and we shared quite comfortably that is until I quicked her out in the middle of the night as I noticed neither of us were faring well in the bed sharing stakes. She didn't seem to mind but I felt guilty making her sleep on a very uncomfortable couch. We were both attacked by mozzies throughout the course of the night, which only added to our already disruptive sleep. Having a gauze screen would really come in handy.

Beware: stupidity follows...

This morning I woke up in my new bed. It's a very comfortable bed so I really didn't want to get up. But I did. Mum had stocked our pantry with a fresh box of coco pops for me which were delicious if perhaps a little childish. As I ran out the house, I grabbed my train pass that I found at work. Bonus! Free train for the next 6 months. Stop being jealous, its not attractive. I parked mum's buttercup yellow car at the station and ran for the 7.50 service (as usual). Slumping into the seat I settled in for a nice long nap.

Last night was hectic. A brand new house filled with brand new things. Unfortunately, the old things have to fit in with said new possessions, which is not a fast job when you're a perfectionist neatfreak. Unpacking 21 Harry Potter books (yep, count em! 21) and a large DVD collection was the easy part. Positioning years' worth of posters and photos on impossibly high and expansive walls, however, was not a task for the faint-hearted; often requiring a second person for 'straightness checks.' Last night was  a late night.

This morning/Last night ...

This morning i woke up, showered and got dressed.  I watched some TV while i did my hair and packed my bag.  I walked to the bus stop and got on the 610X and regretted not having breakfast. On the bus were my friends Hollie and Tristan which was nice, but the bus driver was old and weird.

Last night I went to work, where i teach swimming.  I spent most of the lessons trying to convince the children i wasn't tree and that they were not monkey's.  I finished work wet, freezing cold and stinking of chlorine.  It was nice to come home and have a hot shower and relax.
